Rameelo is a non-profit organization founded on the principle of designing, building, and growing deep cultural experiences for the South Asian community. At present, Rameelo focuses on delivering premiere events during Navratri through the traditional dances of Garba and Raas. The mission and vision on a 50,000 ft view it to bring all South Asians together to celebrate, collaborate, and create memories that last in a harmonious way across the world! What is Rameelo?

Rameelo is more than just a platform—it's a movement. At its core, Rameelo serves as a bridge, linking individuals and groups passionate about Raas Garba across the globe. Rameelo Story / History

Heran Patel, the founder of Rameelo, founded Rameelo in 2021 taking a big risk to host Navratri Raas Garba events for the community during a global pandemic. Ever since, Rameelo has hosted 7 events in the past 3 years welcoming more than 12,000 people in both Southern and Northern California. In 2024, Heran aims to grow the brand across the country with a platform to bring signature Rameelo events, garba event organizers, raas teams, national promoters, and artists in one coherent place!

Vision from the Founder

Reflecting on the transformative power of Rameelo, the founder shares insights into the organization's ethos and values. "Rameelo is more than just a platform—it's a testament to the enduring spirit of community, culture, and passion for the wonderful tradition passed along from generation to generation from the heart of Gujarat!" Heran said. "Our journey is a long one, but we pride ourselves on working for the benefit of our community and pushing the boundaries to bring organization, collaboration, and unison amongst both leaders and members of our community. We aspire to create the Coachella of Raas Garba!"

When asked about why Heran was working on Rameelo, he said "With some people in our community, generational gaps are growing, and there is a lot of friction between the modern and traditional mindsets. We aim to help balance the 2 in our modern society in the Western world, but stay true to our roots. It is imperative both leaders and all Raas Garba enthusiasts work and support the right movements, and collectively focus on the long term mission. I am only 27 years old while most Garba organizers are in their 50s, and I have this fire within me to make a difference in the world both through technology and culture!"
